Grange over Sands Regeneration

We have been commissioned by South Lakeland District Council to produce a regeneration strategy for this striking resort town. The overall aim of the work is to improve Grange over Sands as a key service centre and to increase its attractiveness to the local community and to visitors. The proposals will be part of the South Lakeland Development Framework Core Strategy.

The main objectives of the Regeneration Strategy are to prepare an analysis of the relevant background documents, assess the development potential of the Berners Pool/Lido site including the preparation of a financial appraisal indicating the costs and values and the capital receipt available for improvements to the promenade based on a number of land use options. In addition, we have been asked to consider development opportunities in the town centre for new community and retail facilities.
